Amarola, the new Alejandro Alcántara’s store designed by MisterWils

The Cádiz chef Alejandro Alcántara, who already has two restaurants in Madrid and Seville, has opened a new restaurant in his native province of Cádiz, in the town of Puerto de Santa María. This Chef, with an impeccable career, is known for his participation in the MasterChef program, as well as for his success with his restaurant Bache San Pedro, in Seville, even visited by Barak Obama. Now Amarola is his new gastronomic concept.

According to Alcántara himself in a report for a local newspaper, the menu will be based on three main pillars: dry rice dishes, grilled meats and of course, local fish.

In this context, Bruno Bermúdez and Adrián Gómez, both from the interior design department of MisterWils, have created a space where natural materials take center stage. Our interior designers feel very comfortable under the eco-friendly trend, so fashionable today, and have no qualms in achieving it under the Mediterranean style.

The use of natural furniture, untreated wood, and even recycled, earthy, natural colors, has created a cozy atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy the cuisine of this international chef.

This project has three very marked spaces, the terrace, the glass enclosure and the interior. Each area with furniture and details appropriate to each room. It emphasizes the wonderful terrace on a platform that is practically on the sea.

The glazed area, is at street level and has high tables, teak wood, very handmade and rough-looking, which bring a very rural touch to the overall aesthetics. Also the rope or rattan chairs, a custom-made bench upholstered in gray and with beautiful cushions, which accompany the general chromatic range of earth tones, gain prominence.

Entering the interior, in the living room, a round dining table with a striking fiber feather lamp, made entirely by hand, is the centerpiece, framed by wooden chairs and black rope that break with the common tone of the room. The custom-made upholstered benches, like the one outside, invite us to relax in a space designed for this purpose.

Texture on the walls thanks to the lime mortar, the búcaros, pots and clay vases and also the tapestries with ethnic touches hanging on the walls. This is the interior design project designed by Bruno Bermudez, a place to disconnect and enjoy good food surrounded by a dose of nature and craftsmanship.
