Having an outdoor and private space at home is a real blessing. Therefore, we cannot leave the task of decorating the terrace or porch to chance; we must make it as comfortable and beautiful as possible, to take advantage of this privilege regularly!
Below, you will find seven infallible tips to get decorate the terrace like a pro. Follow them all and really enjoy the good weather!

1.Join the ‘inside-outside’ trend
The in-out trend dresses the terrace with pieces that follow the decorative style of the rest of the house, without giving up the sophistication of the interiors. Thanks to this pleasant aesthetic, we increase our well-being through beauty, but also through the comfort of furniture for enclosed spaces. Of course, they must always be prepared for the elements!
An example that works great? The Talisa synthetic rattan armchair, which with its plant-like fibers, its comfortable width and its metal frame imitating dark wood (for the best outdoor resistance) resembles the immortal armchairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret for the Indian city of Chandigarh. It’s clear: these are instant classics that will never go out of style!
2. Add lots of green
There are countless studies that claim that contact with nature relaxes us, so why not take advantage of your outdoor space to create a real oasis? Vines, flowerbeds and pots will be your allies when decorating terraces to achieve greenery and freshness.

Of course, if plants are not your thing, don’t worry: you can also use artificial specimens that are always kept in perfect condition without effort. The areca, a tropical species of palm tree native to Madagascar and used as an ornamental plant because of its sculptural appearance, can be a good start.
Another species that also dresses up a lot when it comes to decorating the terrace is the Musa paradisiaca, better known as banana tree. It will give the environment an unrepeatable exotic touch.
3. Opt for resistant materials of natural echoes
Organic materials (wood, wicker, cotton…) are sustainable and have a calming effect on us, because they are pure nature! However, we must surrender to the practicality of synthetic fibers when it comes to decorating terraces.
Natural rattan, for example, is a light, practically unbreakable and easily adaptable material, but it can only be used for outdoor chairs when it has been treated against pests, as well as with a special varnish against sun, saltpeter and water. Of course, it is preferable to keep it always indoors.

In addition, dust usually accumulates in their braiding and in their joints, which, with time and use, become loose. If this dust is not regularly removed, outdoor chairs made of natural rattan will eventually blacken.
Synthetic rattan, however, has all the beauty of natural rattan, which it imitates. It is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), making it highly resistant to rain, salt water and other environmental factors that are potentially degrading to plant fibers. They are also less expensive than their natural counterparts, and their design possibilities are increasing. This is demonstrated by the Ogaro armchair, with its purely Bold curves, comfortable armrests and made of aluminum and synthetic rattan fiber. It also comes with a cushion included.
4. Invest in relaxation
Don’t skimp on pleasures or comforts: details such as coffee tables to rest your drink on or a couple of comfortable loungers to decorate terraces are sure investments when it comes to creating a comfortable outdoor space.

The Tabini Lounge low outdoor table, for example, will allow you to complete your chill out area with enough surfaces to leave your book, your cell phone, or your pitcher of sangria! It is made of polypropylene with fiberglass and UV protection, so you won’t have to worry at all about its maintenance. In addition, it can be used to give you the touch of color you need to finish decorating your terrace, as it is available in sand, greenish gray, dark gray, ivory, terracotta and Tuscan.
It is also a good idea, when it comes to decorating the terrace, to get a comfortable armchair, one of those that invite you to take refuge in them for hours. And in this sense, we can assure you that the Abeli rope armchair, Contemporary style, will catch you without remedy!
It has a tubular steel structure finished in powder paint, polyester rope seat and backrest and a comfortable cushion on which to watch the hours go by in relaxation.
5. Enable shaded areas
Although when decorating terraces you may be lucky enough to have a roof, curtains, blinds or even shutters are needed to regulate the entry of light and ensure a shaded area at any time of the day.
You can also get a bioclimatic pergola, which allows you to regulate the temperature thanks to its adjustable slats or, for a more personal and charismatic touch, a parasol with a tropical feel!

Manilex, made of steel with a natural wood imitation finish, is adjustable in height and can be moved from one place to another, making it possible to adjust the shaded area to our liking as the position of the sun changes. It is also made of polyester fiber raffia strips, making it extremely easy to wash and disinfect, and it also has UV protection UPF50+.
6. Create a cozy dining area
Breakfast, lunch and dinner outdoors, there is no greater pleasure! Therefore, you should not forget this function when it comes to decorating terraces, ensuring adequate space for it with sturdy, useful and beautiful tables.
Enacoz, with a lacquered aluminum structure and polyamide and fiberglass joints, can be an excellent choice, as it is easily stackable and suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. In addition, it is very easy to wash and disinfect, and has height adjusters for maximum comfort.
Stackable tables are particularly appreciated for decorating terraces in small spaces, as are stackable chairs. Crossy, with its cozy bistro style and polypropylene injected structure, has this feature. In addition, it is UV resistant!
More stackable chairs? Piamonte, with braided polyester rope, so fashionable, and Mediterranean style -the most prominent trend this season when it comes to decorating terraces- is an ideal choice.
It has a metal structure with a Pin paint finish, a water-based acrylic resin coating of great hardness and adherence, highly resistant to abrasion and weathering due to its lightfast colors. It is also dust-proof.
7. Adequate lighting
Solar lights, battery-powered garlands, wall lamps, outdoor floor lamps… There are many ways to decorate your terrace with lighting, and all of them are valid when we want to create a livable space at all times and seasons.

We love, for example, the Astoria wall lamp, Industrial style, made of metal with bubble glass diffuser and finished in rust-colored paint, ideal for decorating terraces with vintage style and a lot of personality!
