Fray Melitón, a restaurant that enters the scene with operatic overtones.

This restaurant is located in a Sevillian house in the purest style of local architecture, its interior is a real explosion of details.

This restaurant opens its doors from the hand of Carmen Deza and Carlos González Bachiller. Carmen has years of experience in the gastronomic world, she has been in charge of the restaurant Botavino in the neighborhood of Los Remedios.

Now, enthusiastic about this new space, they have reformulated the old restaurant Puerta Grande, which years ago had great fame and also great decline. At the helm of the stoves is chef Fernando Piedad, who has been working for years at Burladero restaurant and is known for recipes such as his cola de toro (bull’s tail).

This restaurant is located in a Sevillian house in the purest style of local architecture, its interior is a real explosion of details, from the patterned paper on the walls, through the magnificent wooden mirror to the choice of furniture, all perfect, selected with great taste and very much in keeping with the concept of theatricality that the opera has. Continuing with this idea, they have created their menu, dividing it into acts of opera, starting with Prelude and First Act, and following with: Entreacto, Concertante, Cavattina and Finale.

The design of this decorative project, which as we said has extraordinary details, has been made by MisterWils interior design team, who have created an atmosphere of theatricality with a lot of originality, with mostly wooden furniture and textiles, creating very cozy and bright spaces. The walls cannot go unnoticed, and even less the mirror that is the highlight of the whole scene. Dividing the space by small rooms and decorating the passage from one to another with wooden lattices and cannage, an admirable esthetic. We can not overlook the showcases where the wine is located, some serve as a separation and others are perfect decorations for this particular project.

You have to go to see it, to enjoy the atmosphere, and above all to taste the extraordinary menu of this beautiful Fray Melitón Restaurant.
