The renovation of the mythical Sevillian bar El Cateto by CM4 Arquitectos

The mythical Sevillian temple of snails and cabrillas, managed by Rocío Trigo, reforms its premises adapting it to a modern and functional aesthetic.

El Cateto, with more than 50 years of fame behind it, and managed by the 3rd generation of the Trigo family, has recently renovated its facilities with the help of the CM4 Arquitectos team and MisterWils furniture.

The bar originally consisted of two adjoining premises, and in this renovation, one of the key points is that they have been annexed to play with a larger space. The space has been redistributed, with a new kitchen and bar area, as well as a large lounge.

A project that sought to transmit modernity, but without falling into extravagance, and that did not shock the usual clientele too much.

The interior has different coatings: lime mortar on the walls of the room and tiles and wood in the bar area. The exterior also has tiled parts, matching the bar area.

The furniture, in a contemporary bistro style, mixes tables with terrazzo and marble tops, upholstered chairs, wood and rattan chairs, metal and leather and wood and rattan high stools, a wood and metal industrial style buffet and decorative plants.
