BRABA: tradition and design in Bahía Sur

The project, led by Carmen Adán and Víctor Piñero (of La Candela in Cádiz) alongside Javier Selvático and Omar Osuna, occupies premises of approximately 300 m² featuring an indoor dining area and a large terrace overlooking the bay.

Located in the new dining area of the Bahía Sur shopping centre in San Fernando, BRABA is a restaurant that combines traditional cuisine with an innovative spirit in a spacious and welcoming setting designed to enhance the dining experience.

The interior design, created by the MisterWils team, aims to create a natural and warm atmosphere in which materials take centre stage. Wood, plant fibres and neutral tones combine to create a balanced and relaxed ambience that complements the restaurant’s culinary offering.

The chosen furniture reinforces this identity, creating a relaxed atmosphere that invites guests to enjoy their meal. Wooden chairs upholstered in natural tones predominate, combined with wooden tables with metal legs, as well as long benches with large cushions that provide comfort and help to organise the space. This ensemble strikes a balance between warmth and solidity, facilitating a flexible layout that adapts to all kinds of gatherings.

The bar area creates a more lively atmosphere, with wooden stools set against a long counter clad in ceramic and wood, providing a more informal gathering spot within the restaurant.

The lighting is another standout feature of the project, with large lamps made from natural fibres suspended above the tables. These pieces add texture and volume to the space, as well as casting a warm light that enhances the venue’s cosy atmosphere.

The result is a contemporary, harmonious space where the interior design and furnishings complement BRABA’s culinary offering: traditional cuisine ‘without pretension or shortcuts’, reinterpreted with a modern twist and designed to be enjoyed in a tastefully appointed setting brimming with character.
