The new trend-setting restaurants move between rich sophistication – with a profusion of delicate fabrics, deep colors and elegant designs – and the simple and always welcoming lines of Mediterranean forms – with natural woods, vegetable fibers and functionality as their flagship.

Mid-Century style hospitality sofas for sophisticated environments

Cousi Interiorismo, a renowned Spanish studio specialized in creating hospitality projects, has recently given shape to Baan Madrid. For the restaurant, which offers Thai and Southeast Asian cuisine in general, they have created a sophisticated, rich and contemporary aesthetic, in which velvets, dark and bright colors, ethnic carpets and elegant lamps abound, which become majestic and original luminaires on the ceiling of the premises.

Curved shapes, velvety textiles and warm colors, such as burgundy and burnt orange, predominate in the hospitality sofas used to give the restaurant a luxurious and comfortable look.

If we want to emulate them in our own restaurant, we can count on hospitality sofas such as the Melvis curved bench, in Mid Century style, with a Galician pine wood structure and upholstered in textile. In addition, it has a seat made of NEA webbing covered with two-centimeter rubber. However, the fact that it is completely customizable, made to measure for each project, is undoubtedly its most outstanding advantage.

Design expert Jean Liu seamlessly blends timeless Tuscan imagery with Southern charm to create the interior of Dallas’ most elegant restaurant, Sassetta. Located inside The Joule hotel, the modern venue is a fusion that celebrates Mediterranean flavors with homemade pastas and signature cocktails in the most understated and distinguished way.

An example? The custom mural by artisan wallpaper brand de Gournay, displayed in the main dining room. This sober and imaginative interpretation of the hills typical of the Tuscan countryside is combined with heavy, theatrical-looking curtains and a restrained, yet select, Viennese grid or cannage seating.

To be inspired by it, there is nothing like Monsul, a Japandi-style wood and grille sofa for the hospitality industry, with a turned beech wood structure and a cannage-style reed grille backrest. It is offered with cushions included, in a gray color that reminds us of the cold and exquisite tones of Sasseta.

Mediterranean echoes in vegetable fiber sofas for the hotel and catering industry

Pink Mamma is one of the most Instagrammable restaurants in Paris, which has made it a trend in itself. This four-story trattoria serves authentic Italian food on dreamy porcelain plates, customized and inspired by the Mediterranean coast, just like the rest of the place.

Designed by the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, its relaxed and vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by the green plants that decorate its ceilings and by details that ‘bring us closer’ to the outdoors, such as the vegetable fiber seats.

So, by creating a sort of ‘indoor garden’, Pink Mamma achieves an absolutely trendy ambiance that you can be inspired by natural rattan hospitality sofas like Gardal, in Mediterranean style. Made of fiber on a metal frame underneath, this armchair with armrests has cushions -included-, which ensures a high level of comfort for customers during meals and after-dinner conversation.

Cool simplicity in rustic wooden hospitality sofas

Juliana Cavalcanti’s interior design for the Portuguese beach bar Casa Reia, on the Caparica coast, is rustic, but very chic. It is drawn through simple-looking handcrafted pieces, such as the ash and iroko wood tables, the canvas-backed chairs, the burlap awnings and the jute rugs. But, above all, its large wooden armchairs and sofas with cushions, placed directly on the sand, catch the eye.

That chill-out feeling can be replicated with hospitality sofas such as Kubu, in rustic style, with a handmade structure made of recycled solid pine wood and cushions upholstered in textile. As with the Casa Reia sofas, this furniture is also handcrafted, using old wood and recycled wood. For this reason, it has the attractive marks and irregularities typical of the wear and tear caused by the passage of time.

For an even more laid back look, i.e. more informal, it is also possible to opt for other models, such as the wooden lounge bench with Mondelo cushions, in Mediterranean style. Like those designed by Juliana Cavalcanti, this one is also made of solid iroko wood with a varnish finish.

The cushions of its comfortable seats, as well as those of the backrest, are covered with a washable fabric. The best part? It is a fully customizable product in terms of size, finish and upholstery.

Another hospitality sofa that goes perfectly with Mediterranean-inspired interiors, one of the strongest trends for 2023, is Paniol. Rustic in style, with a solid tropical wood structure with a natural finish, this bench with cushions included would not look out of place in the interiors of clubs like La Plage Casanis.
